Guidelines

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTERS:

• All posters will be displayed online on the dedicated page of the MESO2025 website. During the Conference you will also have 2 minutes (+1 minute for questions) to present your poster on the main screen in an allocated slot (time will be indicated in the final schedule).

• Only a digital version of your poster is needed (no printed version). 

• We recommend choosing the standard size of A0 (vertical format, 84.1 cm x 118.9 cm; 33 x 47 inches)

• Make sure the text is legible by using a suitable font size (suggestions: 72-100 pt for the title, 40-60 pt for section headings, 24-36 pt for text)

• Use preferably sans serif fonts (Calibri, Arial…) for better readability 

• Limit word count: 500–800 words is the suggested text quantity for a clear but concise poster

• Try to have an image resolution of 200-300 dpi

• Include authors' affiliations 

• Use contrasting colours and colourblind-friendly solutions by using specific palettes, avoiding red-green combinations, and using shapes, patterns, or labels in charts instead of just color (more useful resources at https://colorbrewer2.org/)

• Please email the poster to the Organising Committee at least by the end of August in order to have it properly displayed on the Conference website. Be sure it is a single PDF file not exceeding 15 MB. Bring your own copy on the day of the presentation on a USB key or save it on the cloud, just in case it is necessary. Make sure to name your file with the session number and the first author’s surname (e.g. 7_Surname.pdf)

GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS:

• Keep in mind you have 12 minutes for your oral presentation (+3 minutes for questions): be sure to respect your allocated time slot!

• English is the international language for the conference. Be sensitive towards an international audience’s difficulties of comprehension (e.g. by speaking clearly, slowly, distinctly and keeping it simple, summarising the main points of your talk in your PowerPoint presentation).

• The use of a visual support for your presentation (supported formats: powerpoint, pdf) is strongly encouraged

• Be sure that the font and the size you have selected are readable (sans serif fonts preferred, size between 20-24)

Session organisers will ask presenters to copy their presentation on the conference computer at the beginning of each session. Alternatively, you can send us a copy of your presentation by e-mail (meso2025@unife.it) by 11th september 2025.
