Make sure you validate the ticket using the specific validation machines when you get on the bus. If you buy your ticket onboard using cash the price will be slightly higher, unless you use your credit card on the dedicated display, which will give you a validated electronic ticket.

You can find any other information about buses on the dedicated website (Italian only, https://www.tper.it/orari/linee). Remember to specify “Urbano Ferrara” in “Filtra per categoria” if you want to check bus lines running through the city.

By car

If you choose to move by car the fastest way to reach Ferrara is by taking the highway:

  • A13 if coming from Venezia/Padova

  • A4/E70 if coming from Bergamo/Brescia/Verona

  • A1/A13 if coming from Milan or Bologna/Firenze

  • A14/A13 if coming from the South.

Palazzo Giordani is situated near the very centre of the city: for this reason, if coming by car, please note some important information: firstly, Corso Ercole I d'Este is partly closed to traffic, from Palazzo Diamanti to the Castle, and it is therefore forbidden to park or travel down the road by car. There are some free parking lots (white slots); otherwise, it is possible to park under fee (blue slots) and at Diamanti Parking (Via Arianuova 25), only 5 minutes on foot away from the conference venue.
